Still and Still Moving
Installation, 2015, RSVP gallery at Mono No Aware, Brooklyn, NY
Still and Still Moving is an illustration of momentary, precarious connection. The central projection was filmed from the gunwale of a canoe; the image captures the mixing of the waters where the Connecticut and West rivers meet in southern Vermont, where I live. The pair of projections illustrate a leap from a boulder in the Whetsone Brook, which flows right by my house. The color scheme in the videos ties the piece to a companion silkscreen, which visitors to the installation were invited to take home with them.
